Fed­eral Con­gress National Urban Devel­op­ment Policy

The Fed­eral Con­gress is the cent­ral forum for urban devel­op­ment policy in Ger­many. Since the cre­ation of the National Urban Devel­op­ment Policy in 2007, the event has taken place annu­ally at dif­fer­ent loc­a­tions and deals with con­tent, goals and cur­rent issues of urban devel­op­ment policy in accord­ance with the Leipzig Charter decided by the respons­ible min­is­ters of the EU member states in 2007 and renewed in 2020. The part­ners of the National Urban Devel­op­ment Policy are the Fed­eral Min­istry of Hous­ing, Urban Devel­op­ment and Con­struc­tion (BMWSB), the Con­fer­ence of Build­ing Min­is­ters (Baumin­ister­kon­fer­enz), the German Asso­ci­ation of Cities (Deutscher Städtetag) and the German Asso­ci­ation of Cities and Muni­cip­al­it­ies (Deutscher Städte- und Gemeindebund).

PRO­PRO­JEKT sup­ports the BMWSB in coordin­at­ing the insti­tu­tions involved and accom­pan­ied the con­tent and organ­isa­tional pre­par­a­tion, imple­ment­a­tion and doc­u­ment­a­tion of the fed­eral con­gresses.
