Fußballliebe — UEFA EURO 2024 and PROPROJEKT

The European Football Championship finally kicks off in Germany on Friday.

PRO­PRO­JEKT is very proud to have accom­pan­ied the event from the very begin­ning and wishes all teams, espe­cially the German national team, much suc­cess at UEFA EURO 2024.

Our UEFA EURO 2024 milestones & highlights:

  • July 2017 – National sta­dium selec­tion
    Together with AS+P, PRO­PRO­JEKT sup­por­ted the DFB in organ­ising a fair, effi­cient and trans­par­ent sta­dium selec­tion pro­cess.
  • Septem­ber 2017 – Kick-off of the bid­ding pro­cess
    PRO­PRO­JEKT and AS+P were com­mis­sioned by the DFB to pre­pare the bid doc­u­ments and provided sup­port in coordin­at­ing the entire bid­ding pro­cess.
  • April 2018 – Sub­mis­sion of the bid doc­u­ments
    On 24 April 2018, the bid doc­u­ments jointly pre­pared by the DFB, AS+P and PRO­PRO­JEKT were handed over to UEFA in Nyon.
  • Septem­ber 2018 – Award­ing suc­cess­ful
    After a com­pre­hens­ive eval­u­ation and sev­eral days of site visits, UEFA awar­ded the tour­na­ment to Ger­many on 27 Septem­ber 2018.
  • July 2022 – Sus­tain­ab­il­ity concept of the Host City Berlin
    Build­ing on the sus­tain­ab­il­ity concept developed by the DFB and PRO­PRO­JEKT during the bid­ding pro­cess, PRO­PRO­JEKT sup­por­ted the Berlin Senate in devel­op­ing the city's sus­tain­ab­il­ity concept for UEFA EURO 2024.
  • Septem­ber 2023 - Pro­ject man­age­ment Host City Berlin
    PRO­PRO­JEKT was com­mis­sioned to sup­port the Berlin Senate with the pro­ject man­age­ment of the EURO pro­ject group within the Senate Depart­ment for the Interior and Sport.
  • April 2024 - Host City Oper­a­tion Centre and read­i­ness pro­cess
    As part of the final pre­par­a­tions for the tour­na­ment, the Berlin Senate intens­i­fied its col­lab­or­a­tion with PRO­PRO­JEKT once again and expan­ded it to include the design and plan­ning of the Host City Oper­a­tion Centre (HCOC). PRO­PRO­JEKT also con­duc­ted read­i­ness train­ing ses­sions in which the pro­ced­ures and pro­cesses were tested using vari­ous scen­arios.
  • June 2024 - Host City Oper­a­tion Centre during the tour­na­ment
    During the tour­na­ment, PRO­PRO­JEKT sup­ports the HCOC in Berlin with the coordin­a­tion of all pro­cesses and pre­pares daily report­ing.
