Project management UEFA EURO 2024 — Host City Berlin
The European Football Championship is one of the largest sporting events in the world and will be hosted by Germany in 2024. Berlin is one of ten German Host Cities and has also been awarded to host the final on 14 July. In addition to the six games in the Olympic Stadium, the sporting metropolis of Berlin wants to present itself as a cosmopolitan city that allows all Berliners and visitors to participate in this event and experience the fascination of sport together.
To realise these tasks, the Berlin Senate has founded the UEFA EURO 2024 project group under the umbrella of the Senate Department for the Interior and Sport.
In September 2023, PROPROJEKT took over the management and monitoring of the processes as the central Project Management organisation for the Host City Berlin.
The team on site focussed on committee work, internal interface management and continuous reporting to the management, political representatives and other stakeholders. PROPROJEKT was also closely involved in the direct event preparation by setting up a readiness process and working closely on the conception and planning of the Host City Operation Center (HCOC).
During UEFA EURO 2024, the team will support the coordination of all processes from HCOC and prepare daily reportings.
