UK & Ire­land UEFA EURO 2028 Bid

The sta­dium concept envis­ages a dis­tri­bu­tion of one sta­dium each in North­ern Ire­land, the Repub­lic of Ire­land, Scot­land and Wales and six sta­di­ums in Eng­land, includ­ing the Wemb­ley Sta­dium. For the selec­tion of the other five Eng­lish venues, PRO­PRO­JEKT was com­mis­sioned together with The Sports Con­sultancy to develop and sup­port the selec­tion pro­cess and to mon­itor the com­plete­ness and qual­ity of the bid con­tent of all Can­did­ate Cities.

Fur­ther­more, PRO­PRO­JEKT was com­mis­sioned to develop the sus­tain­ab­il­ity concept for the bid dossier. Start­ing with the devel­op­ment of a sus­tain­ab­il­ity frame­work to define the vision and the stra­tegic dir­ec­tion on sus­tain­ab­il­ity together with all involved Foot­ball Asso­ci­ations and Gov­ern­ment Part­ners, this included the elab­or­a­tion of a good gov­ernance, an envir­on­ment and a human rights plan for the UEFA EURO 2028 in the UK & Ire­land. The com­pre­hens­ive sus­tain­ab­il­ity concept of more than 100 pages not only com­plies with inter­na­tional stand­ards and UEFA require­ments but marks the state-of-the-art for a sus­tain­able tour­na­ment organ­isa­tion with sus­tain­ab­il­ity integ­rated as a cross-cut­ting topic.
