In response to the international financial crisis, the German government put in place a complete package of measures designed to “preserve jobs and strengthen the economic system”. As part of the new programme of “encouraging investments in our national World Cultural Heritage Sites” the German government assigns urgently required funds to the preservation of these historic sites.
Over the next five years, a grand total sum of € 220m will be allocated for the protection and the maintenance of the German World Cultural Heritage Sites.
PROPROJEKT, together with AS+P and Halder-Hass Denkmalprojekte, has been appointed to handle project assessment. In addition to assessing the funding applications and co-ordinating the commission of experts, PROPROJEKT supports the ministry in hosting and organizing events and PR activities.
