The consortium of the companies PROPROJEKT Planungsmanagement & Projektberatung GmbH, AS+P Albert Speer + Partner GmbH, SOLID – Event Management + Consulting GmbH and the MCI Management Center Innsbruck – International Education & Science GmbH have developed a comprehensive feasibility study in respect of hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games 2026 in Innsbruck / Tyrol. As the basis for the final decision if Austria will bid to host the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games 2026, the parameters of the project have been defined, potentialities have been analyzed and challenges have been evaluated. Beside the elaboration of the core areas of competition and non-competition venues, accommodation, transport, environment and finance, special attention has been given to legacy, sustainability and the local needs.
The results of the feasibility study serve the political authorities in the state of Tyrol and the City of Innsbruck to discuss a potential bid to host the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games 2026. Furthermore, it is an information source for the public and could be used for the future development of a potential international Bid.
