Under the conference title “Cooperation in Urban Development – Alliances for the Common Good!”, the German Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Construction (Bundesministerium für Wohnen, Stadtentwicklung und Bauwesen/BMWSB), together with the Conference of Building Ministers of the Federal States (Bauministerkonferenz der Länder), the German Association of Cities (Deutscher Städtetag) and the German Association of Cities and Municipalities (Deutscher Städte- und Gemeindebund), invited guest and the interested public to the two-day event in Heidelberg.
PROPROJEKT and Büro Kaufmann supported the BMWSB with the organisation and coordination of content on the main plenum, 15 additional supporting events and seven so-called “future arenas” including excursions to the cities of Heidelberg and Mannheim. The approximately 1,300 participants in the newly opened Heidelberg Congress Center were shown a variety of inspirations for a future worth living using best-practice examples from Vienna, Copenhagen, Cape Town and Germany.
