Congrats to Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 for winning the German Sustainability Award
Last weekend, the 16th German Sustainability Award was presented by Federal Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser in Düsseldorf. For the first time, honours were also awarded for different areas of sport.
Special Olympics Deutschland e.V. and the LOC Special Olympics World Games Berlin came out on top in the category 'major events, match days and sports festivals'. Together, they were awarded the first German Sustainability Award for Sport for their outstanding organisation of the largest inclusive sporting event in the world, the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023.
PROPROJEKT already supported the organising committee since the application phase and steered the integrated planning of all work areas. In the early project phase, PROPROJEKT also closely supported the conception of the sustainability programme and promoted the development of the sustainability goals with all stakeholders. During the World Games, PROPROJEKT actively supported the organising committee on site in the Main Operations Center.
