Strategic Concept Munich Olympic Park
The venues built in 1972 inside the Munich Olympic Park, require a comprehensive operational and energy-efficient upgrade. At the same time there is the need for a modern venue for basketball and ice hockey in Munich. From the perspective of the `Olympiapark München GmbH´ there is the necessity for a strategic use and development concept to be drafted - on the one hand to meet the demands of a modern convention and sports facility and on the other hand to pursue the sustainable and economic development of the Olympic Park.
Together with AS+P, PROPROJEKT was commissioned with developing the strategic use and development concept. In a comprehensive inventory analysis, the operating result, the need of upgrade and the intensity of use of all buildings and structures were considered in the Olympic Park. On that basis, various scenarios for future use have been developed. Finally, these scenarios have been tested and evaluated in regards to the expected investment costs and the possible changes in operating results.
