UEFA Women's EURO 2029: DFB submits bid documents
The German Football Association (DFB) has submitted its bid to host UEFA Women's EURO 2029.
DFB General Secretary Heike Ullrich, DFB Vice-Presidents Sabine Mammitzsch and Celia Sasic, and DFB Sports Director Nia Künzer personally handed over a copy of the bid dossier at UEFA headquarters in Nyon. UEFA General Secretary Theodoros Theodoridis accepted it on behalf of UEFA.
For almost a year, numerous project groups from various fields worked intensively on the content of the bid. The DFB received broad support from the federal government, states, cities, stadium operators, NGOs, airports, its regional associations and numerous other stakeholders. The bid dossier comprises eleven chapters. Its content deals with the questions specified by UEFA. Among other things, it covers the topics of vision and legacy, sustainability, legal matters, stadiums, security, mobility, logistics and finance.
At the heart of the DFB's bid is the vision expressed in the slogan ‘Together WE Rise’. Women's football should grow – in terms of sport, infrastructure, holistically and sustainably. UEFA Women's EURO 2029 is set to generate record revenues, sell at least one million tickets and thus set a milestone in strengthening women's football throughout Europe. At the same time, the bid sets new standards in the areas of visibility, inclusion and empowerment.
The bid documents will now be evaluated in detail by UEFA. The decision on the host of UEFA Women's EURO 2029 will be made by the members of the UEFA Executive Committee at their meeting on 3 December 2025.
