Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 have exceeded all expectations

The Special Olympics World Games is recognized by the International Olympic Committee as the world's most inclusive sporting event for athletes with intellectual and multiple disabilities. From June 17 to 25, the Special Olympics World Games took place in Germany for the first time under the motto #UnbeatableTogether.

The 7,000 athletes from over 180 nations competed in 26 sports and brough great emotions and goosebumps to Berlin. The perception in the media was outstanding and on site the athletes were loudly cheered by 330,000 spectators.

During the World Games, PROPROJEKT actively supported the organizing committee on site in the Main Operations Center. Further, a part of our team was also present in Berlin as volunteers and accompanied the torch run of the Indian delegation in Frankfurt am Main.
