In 2017 the resolution on the Leipzig Charta for a sustainable European City and the passing of the National Urban Development Policy have their tenth anniversary and will be evaluated by representatives from politics, planners, economists and representatives of the civil society.

At the same time, the idea of a European city will be further developed, new approaches and strategies will be discussed and, as a consequence, a common and sustainable urban development policy will be promoted on the national and international level.
