Feasibility Study Elisabethen School
The building complex of the Frankfurt Elisabethen School, which is located on the intersection of Eschersheimer Landstrasse and Vogtstrasse, was built in 1908 and is a listed building. The building, which is more than 100 years old, is going to be renovated extensively in the coming years. The Elisabethen School it adjacent to the Fürstenberg School, a secondary school that also dates to the Wilhelminian era and needs similar renovation. Due to space constraints the Elisabethen School has outsourced parts of the school to a branch office. Based on the need for renovation of both schools, the Department for Education has the opportunity to reorganise the existing complex of both schools, to activate and promote synergies and to resolve spatial conflicts.
PROPROJEKT was commissioned together with AS + P Albert Speer + Partner to carry out the planning review of the spatial and functional programs for both schools within the scope of the various options for arranging the school complexes at the central location and / or the branch office as well as the plausibility check of the construction and financing bill.
- Planning review of spatial and functional specifications
- Plausibility check of the estimated costs in the construction and financing bills
- Assessment of the reasons of the cost increase
- Assessment of cost risks and recommendations for the next steps
