Sky Line Train to Terminal 3 — test run towards the future
The opening of Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport is planned for Easter 2026. The commissioning of the new PTS route (Sky Line Train) is a key prerequisite for this. In future, it will connect the northern area of the airport (T1, T2) directly to the south (T3). At the beginning of July, Fraport conducted initial ride quality tests focusing on the ride comfort and functionality of the PTS vehicles.
As part of this extended quality test, it was possible for the first time to experience the PTS route from the perspective of future passengers. PROPROJEKT is managing the construction of the PTS route as part of the ‘Coordinated Construction Logistics’ project.
The measures that are still being supervised, particularly at PTS Station F at Terminal 1, will continue until spring 2026.
