New DOSB Headquarter Building awarded with the DGNB Platin Certification

The new headquarter building of the DOSB (German Olympic Sports Confederation) was awarded the highest certification of the German Society for Sustainable Construction (DGNB). The certification system takes all essential aspects of sustainable construction as well as the whole life cycle of an analysed buildings into account. Therefore, up to 40 categories of sustainability grouped in six topics – ecology, economy, socio-cultural and functional aspects, technical aspects, process and location – are being evaluated.

The new headquarter building of the DOSB was planned from the very beginning under the premise of sustainable construction in order to fulfil the standards of the highest DGNB certification level. Accordingly, an integrated concept was developed during planning and implementation, which focussed on sustainable construction in an eco-friendly and resource-efficient manner.

With a remarkable total score of 86.8% the DOSB headquarters is among the 70 best buildings (out of 2,000) being evaluated by the DGNB in the last year.
