The German Football Association (DFB) has officially submitted its Preliminary Bid Dossier to UEFA for hosting the UEFA Women's EURO 2029.
By organising the tournament under the motto ‘Together WE Rise’, the DFB is aiming to foster the growth and potential of women's football in the long term and create a sustainable ecosystem in Europe. A key element of the German bid is to sell more than one million tickets for the first time — a milestone in the history of the UEFA Women's EURO.
The following eleven venues are part of the preliminary bid:
Berlin (Olympiastadion Berlin)
Cologne (RheinEnergieSTADION Cologne)
Dortmund (SIGNAL IDUNA PARK)
Düsseldorf (MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA)
Frankfurt (Deutsche Bank Park)
Gelsenkirchen (VELTINS-Arena)
Hanover (Heinz von Heiden Arena)
Leipzig (Red Bull Arena)
Munich (Allianz Arena Munich)
Rostock (Ostseestadion)
Wolfsburg (Volkswagen Arena)
The bid documents will now be analysed in detail by UEFA and the final documents have to be submitted in August 2025. The decision on the host of the UEFA Women's EURO 2029 is expected to be made in December of this year.
PROPROJEKT is supporting the DFB throughout the entire bidding procedure in managing the bid process and preparing the bid documents as well as with the national selection process for the venues.
