ITS World Congress Hamburg
The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg together with the German national organisation for intelligent transport infrastructure ITS Deutschland and supported by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure is bidding to host the ITS World Congress 2021. The Congress that attracts 10.000 visitors annually presents the most modern technologies in the fields of traffic and transport. Every third year, it is hosted in Europe. For 2021 Hamburg faces other strong bid cities. Future topics in the field will be i.e. intelligent infrastructure, autonomous driving, ride-sharing and connected mobility services. In line with the topic, Hamburg submitted its Bid Book to ERTICO, the European ITS organisation, by roboter on 15 March 2017 (video of bid submission). The Host City election is expected to take place at the ITS World Congress 2017 in Montreal.
PROPROJEKT was assigned by the Ministry of Economy, Transport and Innovation of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg to develop a storyline and compile a bid book for the Hamburg 2021 bid from January to March 2017. This contains the coordination and quality assurance of the bid book content as well as the professional supervision of the bid book production.
