International Congress „Urban Energies“
Worldwide cities are facing enormous challenges. International exchange must be intensified in order to successfully address demographic change, climate change, the Energiewende (turnaround in energy policy), economic adaptation to globalization, the modernization of infrastructure and the preservation of social cohesion.
To support the process, the Federal Ministry for Transport, Building and Urban Development (BMVBS), the Conference of Federal State Ministers and Senators responsible for Urban Development, Building and Housing and the German Association of Towns and Municipalities organized the “Urban Energies” international conference on October 11th and 12th 2012 in Berlin. 1,500 national and international experts from academics, business and politics participated and committed to the memorandum “Urban Energies - Urban Challenges”
In cooperation with Büro Kaufmann, PROPROJEKT supported the BMVBS with the development and coordination of concept and program, the documentation and the comprehensive project management.
